Harry's Epic Year

Harry Styles is a busy boy at the moment and it looks this year could well be a spectacular one for the singer turned actor. Well, not turned as he’s STILL an actor OBVS but has movie projects up the wazoo in the pipeline.
But first. The music! The brand-new video for Harry Style’s As It Was has landed and fans are going wild as he strips off to his crimson undies revealing his tats and enviable abs.
Taken from the forthcoming album Harry’s House which is out in May, the track is a radio friendly bop that’s destined to be all over the airwaves for the foreseeable future. Rolling Stone has called the track “both a straight-from-the-heart cry and an irresistible dance-floor challenge…As It Was is more than a creative peak — it’s a fearless leap into a new era.” Praise indeed from the music bible.
A still from Harry's latest music video where his clothes fall off!
The track also features a cute lil intro by his god-daughter and the video was filmed by Ukrainian director Tanu Muino. Racking up over a million views an hour at time of writing.
GQ have already praised the fashion in the video saying: “The standout look, however, is the crimson, flared jumpsuit he wears to dance in throughout the majority of the video. Created by Spanish, Paris-based designer Arturo Obegero from deadstock material, the form-fitting, sequin-embellished bodysuit is cut ultra-tight to show off Styles’ limber body”. Indeed.
Style’s popularity is at its peak with two movies coming out this year as well. One movie he WON’T be in however is a proposed remake of spooky classic, Nosferatu.

Although the story is set in the 1950s, it takes place in the 1990s, when an elderly Patrick arrives at Marion and Tom’s home, triggering flashbacks of the events from 40 years previous.
Styles’ lover will be played by David Dawson (so we know he goes for Daddy types) in the romantic drama. The Last Kingdom star, 38, will take on the role of Patrick Hazelwood, whilst Rupert Everett will appear as his older-self and future Harry will be played by Linus Roache.
Then there’s e’s also Don’t Worry Darling with Florence Pugh. A mini-trailer for the latter dropped last year and is described as ‘a psychological thriller set in an isolated 1950s community in the Californian desert’.
All of a sudden we feel like we could do with a banana.
Next up is Don’t Worry Darling, director Olivia Wilde has this to say about Harry: “The industry has raised them to believe it lessens their power (i.e. financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it’s so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories… Enter: @harrystyles, our ‘Jack’. Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our ‘Alice’, but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity.” She must have liked him a they’ve been dating ever since!
As for Nosferatu, Styles had been attached to the project alongside the very hot right now Anya Taylor-Joy. He has had to pulled out, however, due to scheduling difficulties. We’d have loved to have seen him but it is one of those movies that would be a huge risk to remake due to its classic status.
We are loving the jacket but we're pretty sure we have that same mask!
At the end of the day he’s already been welcomed into the Marvel Comics Universe in the somewhat lukewarm received The Eternals. If you’ve not seen it it’s definitely worth a viewing even if just for the fitness of Kit Harrington and Richard Madden. It also features the first ever proper positive gay relationship, with kids and everything!
Admittedly Harry only turns up in the ending credits as Eros, the brother of world destroying Thanos who was last seen having his head freed from his big bulky body by Thor himself.
So all in all that’s a hell of a lot going on this year for Harry. You might even call it the Year of Styles and we couldn’t be happier.
