Matt Bomer's new love story

We've got a boner for Matt Bomer!

Any fan of Magic Mike will know Matt Bomer. First of all he starred in the original and the sequel, but he looked hot with his tiny pants, ripped bod and giant muscles but he can also pull off some killer stripper moves AND he’s out and gay in real life. What’s not to love? Well prepare to love him even more.

Queer must-see TV just got a brand-new contender in Fellow Travellers, a limited series for Showtime starring out gay actor Matt Bomer that follows two men meeting over a period of decades and finding love along the way. 

Bomer-tastic! 

Only recently Jake Gyllenhaal was talking about his pride in the gay love story Brokeback Mountain and while this may not be a movie, it looks like it will have all the same feels when the eight-part limited series drops, starting in 1950s Washington and going on from there.

It's all in the eyes, they have it.

The show, also billed as a political thriller is based on a novel by Thomas Mallon with Oscar nominee Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia) adapting it. The story 'will span several decades as the two men cross paths amid the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the hedonism of the ’70s and the AIDS crisis of the ’80s'.

It's a love story (baby just say yes)

The series delivers us directly into an insider world of Washington rife with national consequences, while drawing out the intimate moments that are profoundly personal and often heartbreaking."

Matt only came out in 2012 but has already married his partner, Simon Halls (a publicist) the year before. He said of his wedding “It was very chill and very small–just our closest and dear ones. There is a security, a validity. It's just a feeling, I think–something about saying vows in front of the people around you who love and support you. I think it was good for our family.” The couple have three kids through surrogacy.

Bomer has starred in plenty of other queer-centric media including American Crime Story, America Horror Story, The Boys in the Band, American Horror Stories, Glee and Will and Grace! We can't wait for this one to come out and will have our tissues at the ready. No news yet on when it'll air but we'll keep you updated.
