Ex-Gay porn star runs in Scottish parliamentary elections

Now there’s a statement you don’t read every day and deserves a bit of unpicking. The porn star Logan McCree (link NSFW) denounced his man sex loving ways nearly a decade ago now, moving to the Highlands of Scotland and becoming a Men’s Right’s Activist.

Now going by the name Philipp Tanzer, the 43-year old also has a girlfriend after claiming he’d pushed himself to date women because he felt something was ‘missing’ in his life. So far, so worrying.

More podium, less porn

Not only has he denounced being gay AND his porn past, he has also now decided to run for Scottish parliament as part of the Scottish Family Party which has a very shady track record on a number of issues including gender equality and LGBTQ rights.

As porn actor Logan McCree, he won industry awards with starring roles in the likes of 'Porn Stars in Love', 'Hotter than Hell 2' and 'Rear Deliveries'. All very well received no doubt and you only need to pop over to the likes of Porn Hub or XVideos to see his work for yourself. The hotly contested elections, which will have a bearing on future referendums on Scottish independence, take place this May and whilst running on a platform of anti-porn rhetoric, he uses his experiences in the industry as a reference.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Tanzer said 'I had a negative view of the pornographic industry even before I joined it, but I needed the money.' Tanzer, who was born and raised in Germany continues: ’In one year I lost five friends in the industry to suicide and drug overdoses. I have seen the harm porn addiction can do. Not all my experiences with it have been negative though - I met some wonderful people.’

Of being gay he claims: 'When I was younger I was not clear what path I would take. I was pushed into identifying myself as something at the age of 32 that I was not.' 

So far right it's wrong

As for his party of choice on which platform he stands by, he said 'The Scottish Family Party best represent my views on life and society. One of the main reasons to run for the Scottish Family Party has been my experience and helping people learn from it. Porn is not a men's problem. Both boys and girls consume pornography and both suffer under its impact.’

The Scottish Family Party is an anti-feminist, anti-choice and anti-LGBT+ political party that is not against the gender pay gap, conversion therapy) and he now fully supports the party’s policies of 'removing gay and trans-affirming indoctrination from school' and said that the UK’s education system is 'forcing LGBT+ lifestyles and pornography on children'.
