With quite possibly the least French-sounding name of all time, Kevin Mayer is another of this year’s hot decathlon sportsmen and we would one of, if not THE hottest guys at the whole Olympics. It’s definitely as close a competition as the games themselves what with our recent profile on Johannes Vetter. Either way, this French fancy is one of our faves and has made an athletic fan out of us!

The Olympics may be over but the hotness of Johannes Vetter just goes on and on. As we said in our look at the Decathlon, the javelin takes a huge amount of upper body strength and it doesn’t take a detective to see our man Johannes has bulging pecs and killer biceps in spades.
This week saw the men’s pole vaulting final and you no-one could really touch Sweden's Armand Duplantis, or even his pole for that matter. The world champion wiped the floor with the rest of the competitors leaving him the only one left standing, attempting a world record.
Around about the time the Olympics begin, even the most sport hating gay suddenly gets a newfound love of the various different disciplines on display in the two-week programme. Maybe it’s a sense of national pride (the Euros 2020 finale were the most watched TV moment since Princess Diana’s funeral) or maybe, just maybe, it's due to the likes of Nikita Nagornyy.
It’s been a busy week for the Schwarzenegger clan. Kingpin and former governor of California, Arnold made news by releasing a scathing video about Donald Trump and recent events that have happened in the USA. Running to over seven minutes long, Arnie made the prime-time news all around the world with his comments on the outgoing President, declaring him the worst president the US has ever had, amongst other things. The video was set to a dramatic score and he held aloft his Conan The Barbarian sword at the end for extra drama. Always the showman.
As far as Gymnastics goes – yes, it is quite a unique hobbie to be into or even just to follow. But there are many reasons to make gymnastics your new fave watch. Gymnasts are physical artists in their own right, just watching them get into the craziest positions and perform stunts that would be near impossible for most of us is truly fascinating.
